Today, we are going to talk about how to set up your FIOS Quantum Router with some easy steps.
How to set up a FIOS Quantum router?
Step 1- First, you have to connect your device to the router. For that, you are required to connect MyFiosGateway to the internet.
If your WAN is coaxed- Just in case if you’re using coax, you have to connect the one end of your cable to the coax port on the wall and the other end will get connected to the coax connector on the gateway.
If your WAN is Ethernet- If you’re using Ethernet cable, then connect your one end of the cable to the Ethernet port on the wall and the other end will get connected to the white Ethernet port of the gateway.
Step 2- Now you have to connect it to the power plug. Simply plug your power adapter into the DC jack of the new gateway.
Step 3- Wait until the power light gets stable. On the front side of the gateway, there is a tiny light that will become green when the connection is on. Wait for it and let it stop blinking.
Step 4- If you are using a wired connection, connect one end of the yellow color Ethernet cable to the yellow Ethernet port on the gateway and connect the other end to your device.
If your connection is wireless, simply tap on your device’s Wi-Fi settings and choose the new gateway from the drop-down menu of wireless connections available. Go for the ESSID as shown in the sticker on the gateway and enter the wireless password/key.
Step 5- Now the device is connected. You are all set to launch the web browser. For that, in the search bar, enter myfiosgateway.com and search. Enter the password shown on the backside of your gateway and you’re all set.
Step 6- With some easy on-screen instructions, personalize the gateway as per your requirements.

How to find the wireless network name for my FIOS Quantum Gateway?
You can find the wireless network name on the backside of your FIOS Quantum Gateway. There will be stickers available in which all the details will be mentioned. Please refer.

How to access the admin panel of FIOS Quantum Gateway?
To access the admin panel, please follow the given steps-
- First, open your preferred browser. Type 192.168.1.1 or myfiosgateway.com.
- Now the login page will show up.
- Use the default credentials and log in to the admin panel. The default username will be admin and for the default password, you have to check the sticker available on the router. It has the password written.
